GREETINGS:
Inthe name of the State of Maine, you are hereby requested to notify and warn theinhabitants of the Town of Castine in said county and state, qualified by lawto vote in Town Affairs, to meet at Emerson Hall in said Town on Saturday, the 28thday of March A.D. 2026, at 8:30 A.M. to act on the following articles to wit:
ARTICLES:
Article 1. To choose a moderator to act at saidmeeting.
Article 2. Shall the Town vote to confirm that thepurpose of the Fire Rescue Building Reserve Account is to fund the constructionof new fire and rescue buildings, including but not limited to land purchase,design, engineering, and constructions costs, and to fund repairs, renovations,and other improvements, including the design, engineering, and constructionscosts for said improvements, to existing fire and rescue buildings, includingbut not limited to training facilities and satellite or substation buildings?
Article 3. To see if the Town will vote toauthorize the Selectboard to negotiate and enter into a lease for the operationof a childcare center at the Town property located at 39 State Street andfurther identified as Map 24, Lot 18 on the Castine Tax Maps, for an initiallease term of up to five (5) years; and to further authorize the Selectboard tonegotiate and enter into renewals, following a Public Hearing on the leaserenewal?
