Story Telling Festival

RandyTopHat w Celebrate storytelling in all its forms at the 2nd Annual Storytelling by the Sea festival (August 8th & 9th), which will feature storytellers, musicians, comedians, historians—and even clowns! Comedian and clown Randy Judkins, and physical comedian Kenny Raskin, who performed in the Broadway production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, will give a presentation and a workshop, tickling your funny bone and educating you in the art of clowning.

In all, the two-day event will be packed with over 20 performances, including presentations by storyteller and musician Jennifer Armstrong, storyteller and mime Antonio Rocha, historian and storyteller Jo Radner, Rick Messana, who will perform as Tevya from The Fiddler on the Roof, a Japanese Kamishibai storyteller, and a variety of tellers with down-east flavor. Most of the festivities will take place on the Wilson Museum’s campus at 120 Perkins Street, Castine, ME, with select programs at the Witherle Memorial Library and other Castine venues. Don’t miss this celebration of the art of storytelling. Nominal fee.

The festival is co-sponsored by Wilson Museum, Witherle Memorial Library, and Friends of Witherle Memorial Library.
