We Need Your Opinions! Age-Friendly Coastal Communities is a new community initiative coordinated by Healthy Peninsula, in partnership with the towns of Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Deer Isle, Penobscot, Sedgwick, Stonington, and Surry, as well as many social service agencies, medical providers, and community organizations. The goal of this project is to learn from local community members what would make our towns better places to live and thrive as we age and, based on this feedback, develop partnerships and services to improve the livability of our towns for people of all ages, but especially for seniors, caregivers and folks with disabilities.
The first step of the initiative – the community survey — is currently underway. Surveys were mailed to 1000 randomly selected households so, if you already filled it out, thank you! If not, the survey can be completed online at this link: https://goo.gl/forms/xWijaO7y4uZNgqMR2. It should take only a few minutes to complete. The survey is for everyone to fill out, not just seniors! Thank you for taking the time to share your opinions and thoughts about your town!
